These similar flags share a vertical blue-yellow-red tricolor. They are two countries. The tell is the blue: brighter cobalt for Romania, indigo for Chad.
Diplomats have joked that Romania and Chad fly the same cloth. In a twenty-second flag quiz the joke becomes a miss. Both flags are vertical bands of blue, yellow, and red with blue at the hoist. At PNG size used on Flag Drill, the yellow and red match closely. The blue does not, if you look for it.
Romania’s blue sits closer to a mid cobalt. Chad’s blue is darker, nearer navy or indigo. If you squint, they collapse. If you check the blue first, then read the country name, you stop treating them as identical. That is the whole method: one detail that survives a small image.
This page is for adults who already know both names and still click the wrong plate. It is not a claim that the flags are legally the same. They are not. Flag Drill’s pool includes both UN members. The country flag quiz is especially rude here, because the prompt is a name and the four images sit side by side.

How to tell them apart
Look at blue first, not yellow.
Darker blue → Chad. Brighter blue → Romania.
Mnemonic: Chad’s blue is the night Sahel; Romania’s is a daylight Danube.
Flag Drill is a timed four-choice gym, not a picture book. Twenty seconds is enough to check one detail and not enough to recite a textbook. If you miss a lookalike pair, do not add a new slogan. Re-read the hoist, the blue, the stars, or the star charge, then start another round. Scores and streaks stay in this browser. There is no account and no cloud ranking.
Similar flags pages exist so the whole site can point at one cluster. The hub lists every pair. Each child URL is for a single collision people actually search or miss. Internal links go back to the hub and sideways to the next pair, then into the flag quiz and the country flag quiz. That is the whole internal-link plan for this cluster.
