This flag quiz is the main gym floor at Flag Drill. A flag from the United Nations membership fills the plate. Under it, four country names. Keys 1 through 4 fire the same answers as the buttons. A round is twelve looks. A clock on the board tracks the whole sitting; a thinner bar burns down twenty seconds per question so you cannot stall forever on a blue-white-red tricolor you “almost know.”
The pool defaults to all 193 UN member states — not a toy subset of twenty famous flags. If you want observers, dependencies, and other extra flags, tick Include territories. That switch is explicit: territories are not UN members. Hong Kong, Greenland, Puerto Rico, and the rest join the shuffle only when you ask. Best scores live in localStorage on this browser. There is no account wall and no ranking server.
Use the drill as maintenance, not as a personality test. Geography trivia does not measure intelligence, and Flag Drill will not pretend otherwise. What it will do is put Ireland next to Côte d'Ivoire in your mistakes until you stop reading vertical tricolors left-to-right on autopilot. When twelve questions feel short, move to the flags of the world quiz and walk the full membership. When names are easy and cloth is not, switch to the country flag quiz and pick the image instead.
Flags render as SVG and 320-pixel PNG from flagcdn.com so edges stay sharp on a phone. Emoji flags are not used. Credit for the images and for the vendored ISO dataset sits on the About page. Play starts as soon as this board mounts. No countdown splash, no “are you ready.” The first plate is already up.
